Database
Security
cViewMANAGER stores all the database access security so that
the reports can run against secure databases. cViewMANAGER
can also process reports that have subreports that need a
different database, userid and password.
Date
Stamping
You can specify a date or time stamp in the output file name.
Use %d, %t or %h in the disk file name and the file name will
include the date, time or hour the report was processed.
PDF Export
cViewMANAGER can email your reports as a PDF file. We include
the CR8.5 or CR9 run time files as part of the install, and can
even export PDF from earlier versions of Crystal Reports.
HTML Messages
cViewMANAGER can email a report as HTML in the body of a
message. No messy attachments to open.
Exception
Reports
You can control what cViewMANAGER does if no records are
retrieved by the report. This can include sending an empty
report, not sending anything, or sending a error message
to someone.
MultiRun
Use a report that has a parameter, and you can run it
repeatedly and send the output to different destinations. The Multirun control file is a text file and can be created
another crystal report. A new feature in version 8.17 and
9.17 is a progress indicator to show which value the multirun is
currently processing.
Lists
You can create lists of values, printers, dates and date/times.
These can be used in the schedule for parameter values, email
addresses, bulk printing of reports or for a custom schedule.
A list is also used if you want to avoid running reports on a
public holiday.
Printer
Control
cViewMANAGER enables you control the number of copies printed
and the page orientation.
cViewGLOBAL
Support
cViewGLOBAL is our set of utilities that include SQL scripts,
File updating, ODBC table copies and FTP transfers.
cViewGLOBAL tasks can be scheduled in cViewMANAGER.
Command Line Processing
cViewBATCH is available as an upgrade to process reports via a
command line interface. This means you can set up
cViewMANAGER items and invoke them from an external program such
as a desktop icon, or 3rd party program.
