You can choose to compare all object properties of your Crystal Reports by all objects, unchanged objects, or changed objects.

The key feature of this time-saving tool is that it allows you to compare different versions of the same report. This tool allows you to compare reports that have been analyzed by Report Analyzer.

• Compare your reports using the tree comparison feature. Side-by-side comparison enables you to quickly identify the differences in the reports. Further options enable you to filter and view matching or differing objects only.
   
• Use Snapshots to save the report specs for future comparison. Snapshots are useful for comparing changes to objects over time. Snapshots are just like other objects: they can be compared to live objects and to other snapshots.
   
• Create Rules to customize the comparison criteria. A Rule determines which properties of an object are considered for comparison. When you nominate a rule for a comparison, Object Compare scans each object's properties for differences, only considering objects and properties included in the rule definition.
   
• Create Workspaces to perform common comparison tasks. Workspaces define the objects used in a comparison along with the Rule (if any) used to customize the behavior of the comparison. Workspaces can be saved to disk as XML documents and reloaded at a later time for reuse.
   
• Perform comparisons from Local Desktop to Remote Computer. Object Compare supports comparing folder and file objects on remote computers. Note: Access to objects on remote computers is governed by existing user privileges.
   
• Document comparison results and export in HTML format. Workspace comparisons can be printed using your default web browser. Object Compare outputs print information in HTML format.
   
• Compare more than just Crystal Reports. Object Compare can compare other components on your computer such as Windows folders and files, SQL Server 2000 & 2005, .NET Assemblies, and much more.
