Summary

XML has many advantages, and sending information in XML format solves issues that may arise with other formats. For example, executables that can hide in other file formats can't hide in XML.

Add XML to your Crystal Reports. While you are viewing and preparing your report, the program prepares an XML file with selected fields and tags. This UFL adds Extended Markup Language (XML) output functions to Crystal Reports Version 6 and above. A demonstration report is included. Free 30-day trial.

Features

  • This User Function Library (UFL) adds Extended Markup Language (XML) output functions to Crystal Reports. While you are viewing and preparing your report, the program prepares an XML file with selected fields and tags.
  • A demonstration report is included.
  • This UFL will work with Crystal Reports versions 6,7, 8, 8.5, 9.0, 10, XI, and 2008. It will also work with Seagate Info.

Uses

  • Use XML output for improved security (XML was developed partly to improve security).
  • Use XML output for data feeds (use a Crystal Report as a data feed source).
  • Use older Crystal Reports in newer BI systems by exporting as XML.
  • Use any Crystal Report in any BI system by exporting as XML.
Compatible with Crystal Reports XI and can process all prior versions of Crystal Reports.

Benefits

Take advantage of the XML standard directly from your Crystal Reports. The uses, applications, and benefits depend upon your own situation, but may be extensive.

XML is an industry standard for data interchange. The beauty of XML is that both the structure and the content of the data are in the XML document. Our Crystal Reports User Function Library allows you to create an XML document at the same time as you create your report. The XML functions work with multiple groups, and with any data from your database that you need to view as XML.

We have several format demands for our Crystal Reports system, and one of those is XML. After doing workarounds that didn't work so well, we found and installed this UFL. It works like a charm.

Nice little UFL, exactly what we needed to solve a problem where we needed to import as XML but didn't have the corresponding export to permit that.
