In version 9, Crystal Reports added the Gant (or Gantt, depending on your regional spelling conventions) Chart format. You can display any time-based data as a Gant Chart.

A Gant chart requires two data values: one for the start of the event and the second for the end of the event. You can then display the elapsed time of one event and compare it with the other events in your data.

What if you have an older version of Crystal Reports? You can use a horizontal stacked bar chart to achieve a similar effect. Here are the steps:

1. Select a stacked bar chart and the horizontal alignment.

2. Recalculate your data series as a base value and an increment

3. Use those calculations on the chart

4. Select the first series in the bar and change the fill color to white.
