Crystal Reports: Crosstabs as Group SummaryYou can use a crosstab as a group summary--and it's quite effective. You have a report with groups, columns and rows of data, and then you need a summary of values in one of the group levels. Use a crosstab object to build a quick summary and place in the group header or footer. While a crosstab usually has at least one field for the row, column and summarized field you can omit the row or column field. This can create the effect of a group summary within a group. The crosstab can do a summary of any field in your database (not just fields you are using for groups). Use several of them to summarize your data is different directions. Also remember you can change the summary to Average, Maximum, Minimum or any of the other summary calculations available.
